Jim Barber, a Forsyth, GA commercial photographer, recently created some promotional images for a new business in town.

Bluetick Mercantile is a new business in Forsyth.

Any new business needs high quality photographs as the foundation of their marketing campaign. Bluetick Mercantile invited Jim Barber, a Forsyth, Ga commercial photographer, to create the images that they will need. This new facility is an upscale bakery specializing in breads, pastries, cookies and muffins.  I haven’t tried everything on their extensive menu, but, what I have indulged in has been very tasty.  The decor is very rustic with metal chairs and handmade, laminated wood slat tables as well as counter service. The item that caught my eye immediately is their lighting.  All their lighting fixtures have very unique light bulbs.  The clear light bulbs have very decorative filaments that are quite eye catching.

Word about this new restaurant on the square is spreading quickly.  When I first arrived for the photo shoot at 1:30 pm, the lunch time crowd was still pretty thick.  I came back later in the afternoon to capture these images.

Commercial Photographer designs new sign in Macon, GA

     Macon, GA commercial photographer, Jim Barber, has designed a new sign for his company, Impressive Images Photography.

For almost 20 years, Impressive Images photography has been serving the needs of consumers throughout middle GA.  The business’s focus has recently been redirected to serve the needs of the business community.  The company now offers services such as head shots, business portraits, facility photography, photography for hotels and realtors for all businesses in the metro Macon, GA area.

Through years of study, Jim has developed not only photography and post processing skills, but also graphic design skills.  He used those skills to design and produce his new sign shown below.

 Recently, the Healy Point Country Club dining room was all decked out for an upscale reception.  The club staff invited commercial photographer, Jim Barber, to create some great images for marketing purposes.  There was a small window of time between the time the staff completed the room preparations and the time when the guests arrived.  In the limited time available, Jim was able to create the images displayed below. I was recently asked to do some hotel photography for a local facility in Macon, GA.  The owner wanted to put some fresh images on the internet after remodeling the lobby and several rooms.  Time of day is such an important element when doing the exterior shots.  When doing these kind of projects, I arrive before sunset and leave after sunrise.  This strategy gives me 2 chances to get great light on the main exterior elements.  For the interior shots (which include windows in the image), the best time is 30 mins before and after sunset when the intensity of light outside is fairly close to the inside lighting.  For those hotels that feature a breakfast for guests,  I ask the employees to set up early so I can photograph before the guests arrive.  On this particular shoot, I produced 58 images for the hotel owner.  I've included a small sample below.
